Corpus Christi (KIII News) — The FBI wants to remind Coastal Bend residents Tuesday of a phone scam that's been going on since February.
The phone can spoofs the FBI's real telephone number on caller ID, specifically FBI Corpus Christi.
FBI does not call or e-mail private citizens to demand money or threaten arrest.
To verify the legitimacy of a call you can contact FBI Corpus Christi office at 361-883-8671.
