ALICE, Texas — A massive fire destroys two homes Saturday night in Alice.
According to The Alice Echo News Journal, it happened just before 11:00 p.m. on North Aransas Street near East Eight Street.
Four fire trucks and EMS showed up to the scene, and it took crews several minutes to put out the hot spots.
Neighbors said the delay was because no fire hydrants were working on that street.
One of the homes was burned to the ground, the other received severe damage. Thankfully both were vacant, and no injuries were reported.
Officials are still trying to figure out what caused the blaze.
