CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Coastal Bend community was invited to cheer on bus drivers at CCRTA's Bus Road-eo today. The friendly competition featured driving and maintenance competitions that tested the skills of each driver.
Their pride comes in the form of keeping everyone safe on the roads when they get behind the wheel.
"We transport people with disabilities in this community," Deputy CEO of CC-RTA Miguel Rendon said. "We transport the working people that depend on our service and we try to do our best every day in our community that we serve."
The top two bus operators and maintenance team will head to the state competition in San Antonio next month. Winners at the state competition qualify for the international road-eo in Oregon.
Last year, two bus operations representing CCRTA placed in the state competition held right here in Corpus Christi.
