CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department told 3News that the southbound lanes on Weber Road at Holly Road have reopened after a traffic accident involving an 18-wheeler closed the roadway down Saturday afternoon.
CCPD said that 911 callers reported the truck hit an AEP pole around 1:30 p.m., which caused live wires to go down.
AEP was in route to the scene when police posted a traffic advisory to social media letting drivers know the roadway was shut down and that they should seek an alternate route.
CCPD says AEP has since repaired the downed wires.
