Kristin has always been fascinated by the weather and, as a kid, could frequently be found commandeering the TV remote to watch Storm Chasers or Top 10 countdowns on The Weather Channel. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and joined the KIII 3NEWS Weather Team in December 2021 as the weekend evening meteorologist.
Since then, she's forecasted everything from record-breaking heat to multi-day freezes and severe storms to flooding rains. Most notably, Kristin took part in team coverage of Tropical Storm Harold last August. She and the 3NEWS team were on air for 7.5 hours straight covering the storm's impacts - including multiple tornado warnings - to keep the Coastal Bend safe.
That's one of Kristin's favorite parts of her job, along with creating graphics that showcase her humor and personality and visiting schools and other events to give weather talks.
Some other highlights of her time at KIII include going live from a carnival ride and showcasing her editing experience with the 2024 Hurricane Special.
If she's not at work, there's a good chance she's laid out with a book somewhere, or adding to her bookshelf that simply can't hold any more books.
You can catch Kristin weekend evenings on 3NEWS.
