CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Madeline Salinas joined the 3NEWS team in June 2023 as a multimedia journalist. She is a South Texas native that grew up in Bishop.
She actually grew up watching 3NEWS and is grateful to be working with such a kind and talented team. She is beyond excited to be a part of South Texas’ legacy station!
Madeline graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2023 with a degree in journalism from the Moody College of Communication.
During her time at The University of Texas, Madeline was part of the School of Journalism’s Reporting Texas TV team. There, she learned how to write, report, edit and shoot from her professor Katherine West. Madeline credits West for helping her find her passion for broadcast journalism and teaching her all there is to know about becoming a great reporter.
In her free time, you’ll probably find Madeline listening to one of Taylor Swift’s many albums with an iced coffee in hand.
Madeline also enjoys watching theatre and staying up to date on the latest arts and entertainment news. Pop culture, music, movies - you name it, Madeline can tell you about it.
