Donate Halloween costumes and candy at Sames Ford Supercenter - donations will help CASA of the Coastal Bend youth

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Nate Gonzalez is no stranger to 3NEWS. This 10-year-old is known for carrying out charitable events that benefit youth across the Coastal Bend.

Just in time for Halloween he has prepared 'Nate's Boo Bash,' which takes place Saturday, where he is encouraging the public to drop off Halloween costumes and candy to Sames Ford Supercenter from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. to benefit CASA of the Coastal Bend youth.

Gonzalez said the event will be a lot of fun.

"We're going to have a cakewalk, bouncy houses and MVP Games," he said. "Bring any donation that you think would be good for the kids."

April Vasquez is a long-time supporter of Nate Gonzalez's.

"If y'all ever want to get involved, please feel free to go to natesnextkidup.org," she said. "Or find him on Facebook and look up the different levels of sponsorship. Whether it's one time in sponsoring a group of CASA kids, or it's for the whole year."

Hector Aguirre is the general store manager for Sames Ford Supercenter. He's grateful this venue is selected to be a part of the event. He also says you can save money on a car, if you donate.

"Anything that you donate gets an additional $250 off our Internet price," Aguirre said. "If you donate two, we'll donate up to $500."

Siobhan Allen is the resource development director for CASA of the Coastal Bend.

“We want to see you here Saturday, but CASA of the Coastal Bend is always, always looking for volunteers to advocate for the children here in the Coastal Bend that are in foster care.”
