CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi researchers will be conducting flight tests for a traffic management study with NASA to improve drone technology.
The goal of the tests is to see how well drones can fly safely in big city environments to deliver goods or transport people.
The tests will run from late July into August and will use ten live drones as well as 15 simulated aircraft. One of five scenarios to be used is a flash mom pop-up concert in the sea district.
At 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13th, TAMUCC will hold a public forum at the Lonestar Center to discuss the tests and answer community questions. The forum will also be live-streamed online.
