PORT ARANSAS, Texas — Four businesses in Port Aransas have shut their doors due to the recent surge of COVID-19 in the Coastal Bend, Mayor Charles R. Bujan announced on Monday.
"COVID-19 is making yet another run in the area with another variant," Mayor Bujan said in a Facebook post.
Mayor Bujan confirmed that three of the four businesses that closed were due to COVID-19. One business is suffering from staffing shortage.

Bujan also said that hospital capacity is limited and pleaded for residents in the community to get vaccinated. Sign up for a vaccine here.
