'Shop Local Support Campaign' sets new goal to $20K for gift card donations to front line workers

All of the contributions go to responders, front line workers

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Hicks Automotive Group launched there "Shop Local Support Campaign" last week to help South Texas businesses during the time of our current pandemic. Within one week, the group says $10K was raised and they've now set their new goal to $20K.

Here's how it works:

Whenever you purchase a gift card from a local business, Hicks Auto Group will purchase one, too, from that same business. Once the group has contributed $10,000 in gift card matches, they said they will be donating their gift cards to support local first responders and front line essential workers.

"These dedicated professionals are working tirelessly to keep us safe and provide care for those in need," Hicks said. "This is our family's way of giving back to these incredible members of our community!"

Everybody is a winner in this situation. Help a local business, feed yourself, and then feed our hard at work healthcare providers.

Rules

· Gift cards purchased must be for small - medium sized businesses that are locally-owned in the area we serve, to include Corpus Christi and communities within 100 miles.

· Limit $500 per business (provides $1,000 in support when combined with your gift card purchases)

· We will match up to $10,000 in gift card purchases towards the campaign (provides $20,000 in locally-owned business support when combined with your gift card purchases)

· Valid on gift cards purchased now through April 30th or until the $10,000 limit is reached

· Please email a picture of your receipt and a photo of your gift card to shoplocal@hicksautogroup.com and we will buy a gift card of equal value from the same locally-owned business.

If you have any questions, you can send them an email at shoplocal@hicksautogroup.com

The campaign is lasting through April.
