CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Another Coastal Bend restaurant is shutting down due to COVID-19 concerns. As the cases of the novel coronavirus spike across Texas, experts warn of a second wave of COVID-19 on the way.
The owner of Pep's restaurant in Portland is taking extra precautions. In a Facebook post, management said they are temporarily closing the popular restaurant out of an abundance of caution.
So far, there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at that particular location, but the owner said he is putting the health of his family and employees first.
The eatery will close down to undergo deep cleaning and testing all of its employees.
