CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Governor Greg Abbott recently reappointed three members to the One Call Board of Texas. But a new appointment came with that announcement, a Coastal Bend resident and the former Beeville Chief of Police has joined the board.
A big congratulations to Robert Bridge of Bee County for his accomplishment.
This board has authority over the "Call-Before-You-Dig" systems that notify underground facility operators of excavation plans so that pipelines and utility lines can be market to prevent accidents.
Reappointments include Richard Gann, Marcela Navarrete, and Manish Seth.
Robert Bridge is from the Bee County community of Normanna, and he's a retired police chief for the Beeville Police Department.
Not only that, but Bridge is also a veteran of the U.S. Army, was previously elected Bee County Justice of Peace, and served as the City of George West Municipal Court Judge.
Bridge was also employed for 25 years with the Corpus Christi Police Department, and retired there as a police captain. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Criminal Justice from Midwestern State University.
With all that experience under his belt, Bridge makes an excellent addition to the Board. Once more, our congratulations go out to Robert Bridge.
