At Moody High School Tuesday, it was a chance for girls who are interested in math, science and engineering careers to learn more about the opportunities available.
It was the second annual Girls in Engineering, Math and Science Conference at Moody High School's STEM Academy. Girls are encouraged to look into careers that traditionally have been held by men. Nearly 500 girls attended Tuesday's conference.
STEM Academy officials at Moody said enrollment for last year was up over the year before and they expect enrollment for the coming year to be even higher.
