CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — This Saturday veterans and the community recognized the 74th Anniversary of the flag raising on Iwo Jima.
The event was held at Veterans Memorial High School remembered Battle of Iwo Jima during War World II when the U.S. captured the island from the Japanese.
People recognize this battle by the famous picture of U.S. soldiers raising the American flag.
Kids also got to reenact the raising of the flag.
