CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One man was sent to Bay Area Hospital Saturday after intense moments on SPID near Staples.
Just after 7:00 p.m. civilians ran out to help a man stuck inside a flipped jeep.
Police said a red mustang that had broken down was abandoned and parked legally by the Staples exit when the man driving the jeep hit it, causing his vehicle to flip over.
The man said to be in his late twenties was still stuck inside when officers arrived they were able to pull him out safely.
He was taken to bay area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the accident as a possible DWI.
Officials found drug paraphernalia inside his jeep.
