Human remains found in Rockport believed to be missing Fulton man

Jesse Ellis Goodman was last seen the morning of July 7, 2021, and law enforcement has never stopped looking for him.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Human remains were found at the Ivy Lane Pathway in Rockport that Aransas County officials have reason to believe are those of Jesse Ellis Goodman, a Fulton man who has been missing since 2021.

Aransas County Sheriff Bill Mill said the call came in at around 8 a.m. Wednesday, when a couple found the remains about 30 yards away from the trail.

He said they have tentatively linked the remains to the 41-year-old Goodman because of two indicators: the first, a tennis show that matches the description of what he was wearing when he disappeared; and the second, the remains were found within two blocks of where his car was found two years ago.

Mills said the remains are being taken to transferred to the medical examiner's office, where they will be formally identified.

Goodman was last seen early the morning of July 7, 2021, in Fulton, where he lived. He was described as a 41-year-old man who stands 6-2, and weighs 225 lbs.

Rockport Police Department officials, as well as the Texas Rangers, have continued to search for Goodman since his disappearance.
