Closing arguments were heard Thursday afternoon in the trial of Josue Hernandez, the man accused of shooting at four Corpus Christi police officers in February of 2015.
Hernandez had previously entered a not-guilty plea. Police said he exchanged gunfire with officers after they responded to a call on Dody Street near McArdle. He was charged with four counts of attempted capital murder along with aggravated assault with a weapon.
If convicted, Hernandez faces up to 99 years in prison.
