CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — In honor of Black History Month the African American community is raising awareness about health topics that might not be brought to light.
Health experts at Saturday's event held at Auvil's Sweet Nothings discussed different health care topics including hypertension, stress, mental health, diabetes, shingles and even bullying.
People also got to share their personal experiences while giving advice.
Blood pressure readings were also available.
