According to the Corpus Christi Police Department the three year old boy that was pulled from the Corpus Christi Bay near Swantner Park early this morning has died.

Eight people were on the 20ft recreational boat that turned over near Flour Bluff Sunday at 3 p.m, the boat was originally put in the water near the JFK Causeway according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
It wasn't until 10 p.m. that two people were able to swim out of the water near Swantner Park, a female adult and eight year old child. They yelled for help and a near by resident was able to call 911 for them.
First responders pulled six people from the water near Swantner Park around midnight. One of them, a three year old boy was unconscious when rescued. He was taken to Driscoll Children's Hospital were he was pronounced dead shortly after he did not respond to CPR from EMS. The exact cause of death will later be determined by the medical examiner.
The other five people rescued were in stable condition, however still taken to area hospitals.
The Coast Guard continues to search Corpus Christi Bay for the two that are still missing, a 28 year old male and a 13 year old female.
According to the Corpus Christi Fire Dept. all people on the boat were reportedly wearing life jackets.
The witness that helped contact 911, told 3News that the female she helped said the family was from Mexico and on vacation.
The Corpus Christi Fire Dept, Flour Bluff Fire Dept, Texas Parks & Wildlife, Corpus Christi Marina Patrol and the U.S. Coast Guard all assisted in the rescue.
