Occurred February 26, 2012 Burglary 9600 Hearn's Ferry Rd.
A 34-year-old man was arrested for stealing from the storage buildings from the Corpus Christi Police shooting range. A Port Police Officer patrolled the area of the Police outdoor range and noticed a wagon that contained power tools that was out of place at the shooting range. The Port Police officer then saw a gray Dodge Charger car drive to the range and quickly leave once the driver of the Charger saw the Port Police Officer. The Port Police Officer stopped the Charger and detained the driver while the Corpus Christi Police responded.
Corpus Christi Police range operators inspected the buildings and discovered there was forced entry to the buildings and that the tools were taken from inside the city buildings. The driver of the Charger, Tommy Rannefeld, 34, was connected and arrested for the burglary of a building. All the stolen items were recovered and returned to police.
