Coastal Bend residents got their first look Friday at the Corpus Christi Marina's multimillion dollar makeover.
The remodel work centered around the docks there. Back in February of last year, construction began on the new docks. That work finished in August. The new docks have since finished a check period to make sure they were sound.
Now, the new slips are ready for boats. There are 118 slips in all, 35 of which are meant for visiting boats. The new docks also feature an increase in electricity and stronger protection against storms.
An official groundbreaking for the $3.2 million project is scheduled for the spring.
