ARANSAS PASS, Texas — The Aransas Pass Police Department is looking for leads in a shooting case that happened early Monday morning.
Police said it happened around 4 a.m. Monday in the parking area between the Whataburger and Pizza Hut restaurants in Aransas Pass. Officers were called to reports of shots fired and when they got to the scene, they found several shell casings in the parking lot. Whoever was involved had already fled the area.
No injuries were reported, as well as no property damage.
Police have since learned that the shooting involved a young man who was a passenger inside a newer model silver van with a woman behind the wheel. Another vehicle, a black Chevy Silverado, was also involved. It had a man and woman in the front and two children in the backseat.
