A 16-year old male received a citation just after midnight Wednesday after throwing a party at his house in the 4000 block of Key West, where as many as 200 minors were reportedly consuming alcohol.

The Corpus Christi Police Department were notified about the house party through the Crime Stoppers tip line.

According to police, an anonymous person reported the party, stating that around 200 minors were drinking alcohol at the residence. When police arrived at the home, they found an intoxicated 16-year old male who hosted the party while his parents were out of town. As for the other minors participating in the party, they fled when police arrived and were not apprehended.

After medical technicians with the Corpus Christi Fire Department determined that the male did not have a medical condition and was instead exhibiting signs of alcohol consumption, the 16-year old was issued a citation and released to family members at another residence in Corpus Christi.
