CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Robstown Police Department announced in a press release that 61-year-old murder suspect Cleto Vasquez III was found and arrested in Nuevo Leon, Mexico after being on the run since 2015.
Vasquez is under arrest for the murder of 37-year-old Daniel Torres, which took place July 4, 2015, on the 900 block of Indiana Street in Robstown, Tx. Vasquez allegedly ran Torres down in a pick-up truck and stabbed him to death following a backyard fight involving the two and several other men.
Robstown authorities said that Vasquez is currently in Mexican police custody and is awaiting extradition to the Nueces County Jail. Once extradited, Vasquez will be held on a $200,000 bond pending trial.
Further details are not known at this time.
