Officials with the Corpus Christi Independent School District placed Cullen Middle School on lockdown from around 1 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. Thursday after a disturbance involving students.
Educators said a letter explaining what prompted the lockdown was given to students to take home to their parents.
That letter states that an altercation broke out between two students and three staff members. CCISD police and the Corpus Christi Police Department responded to the scene and arrested the two students.
The letter also states that the altercation happened in the front office, away from other students.
