It was a shocking arrest Tuesday in Jim Wells County as one of the candidates running for sheriff was picked up by federal authorities.
Adan Caro, who is the Republican nominee for sheriff, was taken into custody Tuesday morning along with his wife Sandra. According to the federal indictment obtained, the Caros were indicted on two counts, fraud and money laundering.
It has to do with a scam against Koch Pipeline Company to the tune of $400,000.
Three other people were also indicted.
