WACO, TX (Kiii Sports) - It was a true celebration Saturday of the last name that become associated with Calallen football, as former Wildcats running back Wes Danaher was inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame with his father Phil by his side.
Wes Danaher played for his father for four years at Calallen from 1992-'95, rushing for over 8,800 yards, and finishing his career third on the all-time state rushing list.
His dad Phil Danaher could someday join him in that very same hall of fame, as his currently sits in third place on the all-time career wins list in the state of Texas with 389 career victories, and will likely move into second this upcoming season with Calallen.
