The South Texas Youth Congress, a group made up of area high school students, gathered Friday night at the Holiday Inn Marina to share ideas on how they can help make the world better in their lifetime.
The event was called the "Dream Forward Dinner," and the group was created to discuss social issues they say will have an impact on their future.
Kiii News Anchor Katia Uriarte was the emcee for the event, and Ray High School diver and Wendy's High School Heisman winner Zoe Alaniz was the keynote speaker.
