CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Jim Wells County Fair officially kicked off Wednesday for the 86th year.
The yearly festival features rides, livestock shows, food and all-around fun for the entire family.
One Premont Collegiate High School participant 3NEWS spoke with is positive her animal can win the show this year.
"She’s, like, a really good cow,” she said. “Last year, I was super-nervous, and I feel like I know what I'm doing (now)."
The county fair will feature a full schedule of events through Saturday.
The market rabbit show begins bright and early, at 8 a.m. Thursday.
