A suspect who allegedly kidnapped a child from Alice Wednesday and was arrested the next day here in Corpus Christi is now in jail in Jim Wells County.
29-year old Channing Galbraith was transported to the Jim Wells County Jail Friday morning. Police say it was Wednesday afternoon when Galbraith was involved in an argument with his girlfriend. When he left the house with the child his girlfriend thought they would return, but they didn't.
She then called the Alice Police Department at around 7 a.m. Friday and an Amber Alert was issued.
Galbraith was charged with kidnapping along with other charges he's facing. His bond was set at $100,000.
