CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Texas fishing and hunting licenses for the 2024-25 season became available to purchase on Thursday.
Current-year Texas hunting and fishing licenses expire at the end of August!
Remember it is important to buy the correct license for the activity you are participating in.
Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Warden Captain Ben Baker encourages everyone to get their licenses as soon as possible to avoid facing any penalties.
"And so we really encourage all our anglers and our hunters to check the license that they are purchasing it is the responsibility of the angler or hunter to have the correct license, and unfortunately retailer stores might have an inexperienced casher or teller that does not have that information on selling you the correct license," he said.
When buying a Texas hunting and or fishing license you can also add a donation of up to $20 to help support the Hunters for the Hungry program or the Fund for Veterans Assistance.
