CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The American Heart Association kicked off this year's 'Heart Ball' to promote the health and well-being of residents in our area.
The night was filled with live entertainment, an auction, dinner and dancing, but also education on heart health for guests.
Co-Chairperson, Peggy Ahuja said that supporting education and research is more important than ever.
"We have to do this," said Ahuja. "I personally lost lots of family members to heart too early and so the research is so important so that we can stop that. We don't want anymore young widows."
Our very own Alan Holt was also in attendance for the event.
