CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — City Manager Peter Zanoni told 3NEWS that we are currently at an all-time lowest combined lake reservoir level.
Chief Operating Officer of Corpus Christi Water Drew Molly said if we see no large amounts of rain between now and October, we will be in danger of reaching Stage 3 drought restrictions by that time.
3NEWS asked Zanoni how everyday water use could be impacted if we do reach Stage 3.
"We still need water to wash our clothes, take showers, cook and clean," he said. "There's no curtailment to someone's use of water inside the facility, so Stage 3 means just outdoor watering gets really curtailed to no outdoor watering."
Zanoni said industry use, will not be reduced as they keep the city going with jet, motor fuel and plastic to keep the economy and employment in place.
