CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Weslaco Police Department in the valley issued an Amber Alert Friday morning as they search for a 13-year old girl.
Esmeralda Mireles is White, 5'6'' and 145 lbs. with orange hair and brown eyes.
Investigators believed 37-year old Luis Gomez abducted her.
He was last seen driving a maroon 2001 Chevy Silverado bearing a Texas license plate with the number GCW9494.
Law enforcement officials believe this child to be in grave or immediate danger. This is a local amber alert originating from Weslaco. It has been activated in the following Texas counties: Hildago, Cameron, Willacy, Kenedy, Brooks, Jim Hogg, Starr, Zapata, Kleberg, Nueces, Jim Wells, Duval, Webb.
