CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Morningside residents started the day off celebrating our country with their annual Fourth of July parade, a tradition that's 23 years strong!
Residents that spoke with 3NEWS said that the day and parade are inspiring and represent our American pride.
"It's really the nationality of the country, it's our American pride; that's really what makes today special," resident Benjamin Cantu said.
"It's so inspiring to see all the families and that's what we love about our neighborhood," resident Brenda Miles said. "It just makes it really special."
Miles said they usually end the parade with a sweet and cold treat of ice cream, but this year they switched it up with snow cones!
