Man flees from police during traffic stop, search ensues in Aransas Pass

Aransas Pass police say all officers and assisting agencies have cleared, and the person that they are searching for is no longer in this area.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man who fled a traffic stop on foot in Aransas County in is the cause of an ongoing search in the area on Tuesday morning. 

Aransas Pass police officers, an Aransas County deputy and K9, and a police drone were searching for the man in the area in between South 10th and South 13th between West Deberry and West McClung.

Authorities described the man as a Hispanic male, 5'06", weighing approximately 170 pounds. They say he is bald and has a goatee and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white tank top style shirt and blue shorts with a gray cuff on the bottom. He initially fled from the traffic stop in the 1000 block of South 13th Street. 

If you see this man, police say you should not attempt to make contact with him.
