CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Adrian Cantu was arrested early Tuesday morning after walking into an area hospital with a gunshot wound, according to CCPD.
Officers were called to the 600 block of Elizabeth Street near CHRISTUS Spohn at 1:12 a.m. Tuesday, where they spoke with the 20-year-old and determined he had suffered a gunshot wound in the incident that occurred on Sunday on Archer Drive.
The initial shooting on Archer Drive happened Sunday.
After reviewing video footage, officers obtained a warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, $90,000 bond. After Cantu was medically cleared at the hospital, he was arrested for the warrant and transported to the City Detention Center for booking.
The news comes after another 20-year-old man spent the weekend at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg following Sunday's shooting.
Police said that victim shared very little information with them about what lead up to the shooting.
