Berlanga Elementary School student receives H-E-B Buddy League Student Advocate Award

30 nominations came in from various school administrators throughout the H-E-B Gulf Coast Region, and a total of nine winners were selected.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A first grader at Berlanga Elementary School was recognized Wednesday by H-E-B as a recipient of the H-E-B Buddy League Student Advocate Award.

The H-E-B Buddy League award was given to Trinity Dozier who demonstrated acts of kindness and respect. The H-E-B Buddy League promotes kindness and respect over negative behaviors such as teasing, exclusion, and other forms of bullying.

Every year, H-E-B reaches out to schools who have participated in the program and request school administrators to nominate a student who is a Buddy.  

Overall, 30 nominations came in from various school administrators throughout the H-E-B Gulf Coast Region, and a total of nine winners were selected. Nine winners were from Live Oak Learning Center, Oak Park Elementary, Berlanga Elementary, Flour Bluff Primary School.
