CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Three local law enforcement offices were called to reports of a gunshot at an apartment complex in Bishop on Sunday evening.
Nueces County Pct. 3 Constable's deputies, along with Bishop Police Department officers and Nueces County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 900 block of US Hwy. 77, according to a post on constable Jimmy Rivera's Facebook page.
When they arrived, they didn't find anyone with injuries, and were told that an elderly woman was moving a shotgun in the garage of one of the Bishop Courts Apartments when she tripped over something and the gun went off.
The round hit a wall and she wasn't injured, but Bishop police officers confiscated the weapon.
