UPDATE: The water boil notice that was in place for Taft for three days starting on Thursday has now been lifted.
After taking necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water, it is now safe to drink and use.
If you have questions you may contact Gabriel Morales from the City of Taft at (361)-533-4616.
The City of Taft is under a boil water notice due to a water leak.
The TCEQ has required the city to notify customers to boil their water before using it. This includes activities like washing your hands, face, brushing your teeth and even drinking.
Water that is being used for drinking, cooking and making ice should be boiled and cooled. Children, seniors, and those with weak immune systems are more vulnerable to harmful bacteria.
