CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Not only are family members, friends, and law-enforcement agencies continuing the search for missing Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi student Caleb Harris, the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority is also doing its part to get his face out there and help find him, as well.
Digital missing posters with pictures of Harris and a phone number people can call with information have been added to the buses' virtual displays inside the vehicles after volunteers approached the RTA with the idea, said managing director of public relations Rita Patrick.
She said the posters also have been put up at stops around the city.
"We've also shared it on social media, as well," she said in a text message Wednesday.
Harris went missing March 4. The 22-year-old reportedly was last seen at his off-campus apartment with his roommates.
There have been no updates in the case to local news outlets after Caleb Harris' father, Randy, and family spokesman Tony Mathis said they planned to shift their focus to speaking with national media, which they saw as being more beneficial to finding Caleb.
"We got a lot of the B and C team guys to start and it kind of diminished the value of the case -- especially with what was going on with Riley (Strain) and some these other things," Mathis said on a podcast in early April. "You know, Riley got Brian Entin (of NewsNation) and Good Morning America and some of these guys very early. We were doing interviews with a lot of local guys."
