CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Fire Department responded to a house fire just before 3 p.m. Monday on Camargo Drive near Kostoryz Road and Saratoga Boulevard
Officials at the scene said during their investigation a body was found inside the house.
CCPD Public Information Officer Jennifer Collier said police were called to the scene after it was deemed suspicious.
"Due to suspicious circumstances they contacted us detectives with criminal investigations division arrived and are actively investigating this incident," Collier said.
CCPD told 3NEWS the way the victim was found caused suspicion.
Information about the victim's identity has not been released.
It is still not known what started the fire.
