CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — As a reported influx of "spring break" type crowds make their way to Corpus Christi for Saturday's annular solar eclipse, it is more than likely that some onlookers will want to capture the moment on camera.
Whether you are planning to use a smart phone or a high-quality camera, there is one important step that you should not leave out. According to local photographer Brenda Miles, eclipse-viewers will need to protect their lenses on Saturday.
"All you need is a solar filter. That protects the camera, and the lens, so whichever lens you are going to use, you need to be sure to have a solar filter for it."
In addition to the special eclipse glasses that onlookers will need to safely view the event, they will also need to take care to protect their camera lenses- so they will not need to be fixed later.
