CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A significant milestone was achieved by the Corpus Christi Fire Department as the ground was officially broken for the city's newest fire station.
Fire Station #3 on Morgan Avenue will be rebuilt as a new 17,000-square-foot facility. Construction will cost the city approximately $10 million, thanks to bond 2020.
"The commitment that this city has made to public safety and the fire department is helping us to advance our mission and our commitment to serving the citizens," said CCFD Fire Chief Brandon Wade.
Firefighters will continue working out of the current Fire Station #3 until the new one is completed.
