The Corpus Christi Police Department announced Friday that McGruff the Crime Dog is retiring from his position on their department, but worry not -- they have a replacement.
In a video produced by the CCPD and released via Facebook on Friday, police introduced their brand new mascot, Officer Blue.

As you can see, Officer Blue went through all of the rigors of training necessary to fill the big shoes left behind by McGruff the Crime Dog.
