CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Corpus Christi couple is alive Tuesday evening after they were chased and shot at by three men at a southside apartment complex.
According to the couple, just before 7 p.m., they were supposed to meet their friend at the Marbella Apartments to go swimming, but instead, they were followed to their apartment.
The couple was on the phone with their friend and were supposed to meet them when they drove into the Marbella parking lot.
The couple said they were outside of her friend's building, but she was nowhere to be seen. The couple said they saw three men wearing different colored bandanas pull into the apartment complex in a gray Toyota Camry.
The couple started driving off, and the men opened fire at their car and they got back into their Camry and started following the couple into a nearby neighborhood.
According to the girlfriend, she called the police and eventually lost the suspects.
Officers met the couple at the Wingstop next to the apartment complex to collect evidence and dust for fingerprints on the car.
Currently, the police have not released any information on the shooting or the suspects.
