BISHOP, Texas — Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating an incident that happened Wednesday afternoon at the Dollar General store in Bishop, Texas.
Following the incident, authorities were led on a chase to Highway 77 and county road 70 where they appear to have a person in custody.
It appears domestic violence was at the root of today's deadly shooting involving a family out of Alabama vacationing in South Texas.
The victim is a male, 42 years of age, the suspect a male, 27 years of age traveling with family in a red truck.
Once shots were fired, the suspect then ran off toward highway 77 and was arrested near county road 70 a short time later at a home the family was visiting.
The 27 year old suspect is in custody at the Nueces County jail. His bail is undetermined at this time.
