CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police were called to Belmeade Drive near Cullen Place Elementary after reports of a child being hit by a vehicle.
The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday.
CCISD Police Chief Kirby Warnke said the driver was cited and then released.
Although the extent of the child's injuries is unknown, Warnke confirmed that EMS checked the child and ensured a safe return home.
