CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — In response to the expected high temperatures this week, the City has announced cooling centers that will be open through Sunday.
Here's where you can beat the heat:
Public Libraries
- La Retama Central Public Library - 805 Comanche Street
- Anita & W.T. Neyland Public Library - 1230 Carmel Parkway
- Ben F. McDonald Public Library - 4044 Greenwood Drive
- Owen R. Hopkins Public Library - 3202 McKinzie Road
- Dr. Clotilde P. Garcia Public Library - 5930 Brockhampton Street
- Janet F. Harte Public Library - 2629 Waldron Road
Senior Centers
- Ethel Eyerly Senior Center - 654 Graham Road
- Garden Senior Center - 5325 Greely Drive
- Lindale Senior Center - 3135 Swantner Drive
- Broadmoor Senior Center - 1651 Tarlton Street
- Northwest Senior Center - 9725 Up River Road
- Oveal Williams Senior Center - 1414 Martin Luther King Drive
- Zavala Senior Center - 510 Osage Street
- Greenwood Senior Center - 4040 Greenwood Drive
You can ride the bus to any cooling center for free, just let the driver know where you are headed.
Hours vary for each cooling location, so be sure to check the list on the City's website here.
