CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A community college in South Texas is currently being asked to repay thousands of dollars as punishment for misusing federal grant funds.
Coastal Bend College will now have to repay over $182,000 for using money meant for technical education programs to pay employees instead.
According to the State Board on Higher Education, the college used the money to pay employees who were not "performing tasks that were career or technical education oriented."
